01

Who we are

PunsLand is a content website dedicated to puns and wordplay, operated by Jake Miller and Mia Carter, based in the United States. Our website address is punsland.com.

If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your information, you can reach us at hello@punsland.com.

02

What information we collect

PunsLand is a read-only content site. We don’t have user accounts, memberships, or an online store. The only personal information we collect is what you choose to send us through our contact form:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • The message you write to us

We don’t collect this information unless you actively fill out and submit the form.

03

How we use your information

If you contact us via the form, we use your name and email solely to reply to your message. That’s it. We don’t add you to any mailing lists, we don’t pass your details to third parties, and we don’t use your information for marketing.

04

Cookies & automatic data

Like most websites, our hosting provider may log basic technical data when you visit — such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you view. This is standard server behaviour and is not personally identifiable in any meaningful way. We don’t use this data to track or profile you.

WordPress, the platform we run on, may set a small number of functional cookies to keep the site working correctly (for example, remembering your preferences if you comment). We don’t use advertising cookies or tracking pixels of any kind.

05

Third-party services

We don’t run ads, so there are no ad networks involved. We don’t use social login or embedded third-party widgets that track you across the web.

Our site is hosted on a third-party web host. They have their own privacy policy covering how they handle server-level data. We recommend reviewing their policy if you’d like more detail on hosting-level data handling.

06

Data sharing & selling

We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise share your personal information with any third party. Full stop.

The only exception would be if we were required to do so by law — for example, in response to a valid legal order. In that case we would comply, but we’d only ever share the minimum required.

07

How long we keep your data

If you contact us, we keep your message and email address only for as long as it takes to respond and resolve your query. We don’t archive contact form submissions indefinitely. If you’d like us to delete your message and email from our records, just ask and we’ll take care of it.

08

Your rights

Since we collect very little data, there’s not much to manage — but you still have rights over what we do hold:

  • Access: You can ask us what information we hold about you.
  • Deletion: You can ask us to delete any information you’ve sent us.
  • Correction: If anything we hold is inaccurate, let us know and we’ll fix it.

To exercise any of these, just email us at hello@punsland.com and we’ll get back to you promptly.

09

Children’s privacy

PunsLand is a general-audience site suitable for all ages. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us through the contact form, please let us know and we’ll delete it immediately.

10

Changes to this policy

If we ever make meaningful changes to this policy — for example, if we add analytics tools or change how we handle contact form data — we’ll update this page and change the “Last updated” date at the top. We won’t notify you by email unless the changes significantly affect how we use your data.

We’d recommend checking back occasionally if you’re curious, but honestly, we don’t plan on making this more complicated than it needs to be.

Still have questions?

Drop us a message — we’ll reply in plain English, not legalese.
